KVAR-PLUS Conversion varnish products exceeds the regulation of certain phthalatates for use with child care articles which includes bds, furniture, other articles, ad children's toys.
The Consumer Product Improvement Safety Act of 2008 (CPSIA) limites the use of certain phthalatates. Levels are not to exceed 0.1%.
KVAR-PLUS products are pthalatate free and are allowable for use on children's furniture and toys.
The CPSIA Act of 2008 was established/published on August 14, 2008. The Act making these pthalatates illegal became effective February 10, 2009.
This act also leaves open the option to illegalize more pthalatates at a later date.
KVAR-PLUS products are manufactured by Gemini Coatings for exclusive use by Keim Lumber.
